Job Title : AI/ML Specialist – Transaction Approval Optimization

Location : Remote/On-site

Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced AI/ML Specialist to join our team to work on optimizing transaction approval processes in the e-commerce industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to enhance payment approval rates by analyzing complex patterns in payment gateway behaviors and transaction data. You will be involved in building models that make data-driven decisions, optimizing Merchant Identification Number (MID) placements, and improving overall payment success rates.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and implement AI models to optimize payment gateway routing and increase transaction approval rates.

- Analyze large datasets (millions of transactions) to identify patterns that affect approval rates, including bank-specific algorithms, card issuer behaviors, and Merchant Category Codes (MCC).

- Design machine learning models to provide recommendations for MID placement, reducing transaction declines.

- Collaborate with the team to ensure models integrate seamlessly into the e-commerce platform.

- Conduct thorough data analysis to predict trends and enhance decision-making around transaction approval.

- Monitor and improve the performance of AI models, ensuring consistent accuracy and optimal routing.

- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into AI solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or a related field.

- 3+ years of experience in AI/ML development, with a focus on payment or e-commerce systems preferred.

- Proficient in Python, TensorFlow, or similar machine learning frameworks.

- Experience with large datasets, data preprocessing, and feature engineering.

- Strong understanding of payment processing systems, including knowledge of MIDs, payment gateways, and acquiring/issuing banks.

- Knowledge of predictive modeling, classification, clustering, and other AI/ML techniques.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with AI models applied to transaction processing systems or financial services.

- Familiarity with the intricacies of payment approvals, fraud detection, and the payment ecosystem.

- Experience working with CRM systems or other e-commerce platforms.
